Show Discussion Of TM Scheduled In Btfl. The Transcendental Meditation Medita-tion Program and its effects in relieving stress, promoting health, and reversing the aging process will be the subject of a free lecture by Barry Charles M.D. on Wednesday, April 13, at 7 p.m. THE LECTURE will be given in the main auditorium of the Bountiful Library, 725 S. Main Street, Bountiful. Dr. Charles is vice president of the American Association of Physicians Practicing the Transcendental Meditation Program (AAPPTM). Over 6,000 medical doctors in the U.S. have learned the TM technique themselves. He says that doctors recommend TM to their patients and see improvements in high blood pressure, insomnia, heart disease, dis-ease, bronchial asthma and stress-related disorders. HE MENTIONS that TM is also for people who are healthy, heal-thy, because it improves mental men-tal clarity, efficiency, and is an effective preventive procedure proce-dure that improves the overall quality of life. According to Dr. Charles, "The Transcendental Meditation Medita-tion technique does not involve in-volve any philosophy, belief, or religion. Anyone can learn it. Founded by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, it is a simple, natural and unique procedure which is practiced for 20 minutes mi-nutes twice a day. The TM technique has gained its recognition recog-nition for being effective in producing deep relaxation and stress release."
