Modernettes Hear Talk by Mrs. Sherman Jacob Mrs. Sherman Jacob was guest speaker at the meeting of the Modernettes, at the home of Mrs. Glen Noble on September 29. Mrs. Jacob who spent the war years in the Phillipine Islands, told of her work there as a volunteer volun-teer nurse and. also of her years spent as a prisoner of war in a consentration camp, with her son Billie and many other incidents of ,her life in the Islands. Invited guests of the hostess were her sister Mrs. Howard Chris-tensen Chris-tensen and Mrs. Ray Beers. Club members enjoying the interesting talk and the tasty luncheon were Mrs. Keith Jacobs, Mrs. Lyman Smith, Mrs. Roy Boyer, Mrs. Don Stubbs, Mrs. Harris Chipman, Mrs. Roy Fryer, Mrs. Ford West, Mrs. George McNees, and Mrs. Grant Maxfield.
