Arthur Barney Has Narrow Escape In Sewer Cave-in A 49-year old Spanish Fork man narrowly escaped death last Thursday Thurs-day In a sewer accident in a trench on Locust Avenue. He was buried bur-ied under eight feet of dirt in a cave-in. The victim, Arthur Barney, was ' working at the bottom of a 16-foct 16-foct deep sewer trench when the bank gave way. Dean B. Powell, in front of whose home the accident occurred, heard the noise of the falling earth and sounded the alarm. Nearby workmen rushed to the scene and uncovered the victim's head within with-in minutes. About a quarter of an hour later Mr. Barney was removed re-moved frcm the trench. He suffered only a twisted leg and minor bsdy bruises. Dr. B. C. Linebaugh attended the victim and administered first aid.
