Show Joint PTA Meet! Planned for Thursday, Oct-6 A joint meeting of the Senior and Junior High PTA will be held Thursday, Oct. 6 at 7:30 p.m. in the High School auditorium according ac-cording to Mrs. Lola Fowlke, junior jun-ior high PTA president. Both cf the principals, A. J. Rogers and Lyean Johnson, will speak. Subject of the discussion with the parents are the problems the two schools will be facing, with an increased enrollment and no prospect of any additional classroom class-room space until the new high school is built in 1958. Mr. Rogers will present a plan to utilize the suggestions from the parents to improve the plans for the new school. A new innovation of the Junior and Senior High meetings this year will be that a free period at the end of each meeting will be arranged ar-ranged in order that parents may meet with individual teachers to discuss student progress and problems. prob-lems. All parents are cordially invited to attend and an opening tea will be given at the close of the meeting meet-ing by the Hospitality Committee of both schools. |
