Show Boating Safety Rules Named By Farmers Ins. In support of Boat Safety Week set for July 3 through 9 by the boating industry and associations as-sociations interested in boating sport, Farmers Insurance Group Safety Foundation has outlined five basic rules for safe boating, according to Keith Hansen, District Dis-trict Manager, American Fork, for Farmers Insurance Group. Observance of these simple rules should result in many happy hap-py hours of boating: 1. Drive Carefully on the hig-way hig-way as well as on the waterway and Be Safe, not Sorry! 2. Don't overload your boat rig. Overloaded boats can produce! pro-duce! death on land or sea. 3. Keep fuel in marked containers contain-ers and have a fire extinguisher within easy reach. 4. Be alert in congested waters for swimmers, skiers, and speeders. 5. Remember you are responsible respon-sible for Junior's unsafe acts behind be-hind the wheel of ithe car or in a boat. |
