Show " 4-H Delegate Tells Of Conference Held in Logan by Nancy Adams Recently I had the opportunity opportun-ity of attending the 4-H Youth Leadership Conference in Logan as a delegate from Utah County. There was not one minute in any day that was not filled with worthwhile activity and I thoroughly thor-oughly enjoyed every day spent there. Attending were over 200 delegates dele-gates representing over 14,000 Utah 4-H Club members. I feel that the Conference presented pre-sented important information and challenges by which all 4-Her's can better themselves. The dynamic speakers, tours, department work and recreation was enthusiastically received by all delegates and each of us came home with a desire to help create i more interest in 4-H work among our older teenagers. 1 I am sure that most older members do not know of the many interesting projects available avail-able such as photography, automotive, auto-motive, horsemanship, and others which are set up with older mem. 1 bers in mind. . Also, there are many very worthwhile awards to be earned by those willing to work for them. . We owe a great debt of gratitude grati-tude to all those making such a conference possible; our state and county extension agents, the Utah State University and others. |
