Show 24 YEARS AGO In the Review From the Files of the Review Friday, June 19, 1936 Swen L. Swenson, 73, president of the Bank of Pleasant Grove and Patriarch of Timpanogos Stake, died in Leandro, California, Califor-nia, Monday, following surgery. Survivors are Dr. Russell Swenson, Swen-son, Provo; Mrs. Helen Reams, California and Mrs. Beth Driggs, New York City. 24 Years Ago-- Shirley 'Winters, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Winters, won the Ford V-8 given away on Strawberry Day. 24 Years Ago Peter Axel Johnson, 93, died at the home of a daughter, Mary J. Miller, Monday of causes incident in-cident to age. He had lived here for 63 years. Survivors include his second wife, Margaret ancT children Annie, Mary, Ellen, and Irene. 24 Years Ago David Green won a U.S. Gold medal in a wrestling contest at ( Camp Williams last Saturday night. 24 Years Ago Mrs. Lucile P. Hillman resumed resum-ed her duties as teller at Bank of Pleasant Grove, after an absence of 5 years. 24 Years Ago The marriage of Deloroiis Gour-ley Gour-ley of this city and Ernest L. Reid of Hinckley has recently been announced. 24 Years Ago Gaylon Winters, 2 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Winters was injured at 10 a.m. Sunday morning. He ran in front of a truck while crossing Second South between Main Street and First East. He received body and head bruises. 24 Years Agd Boys of the local National Guard Medical Unit returned from Camp Williams last Sunday Sun-day evening. |
