Apron Strings This is the second year of the Apron Strings 4-H Club. The club started April 12 and selected select-ed offioers: Joan Barney, president; presi-dent; Anna Madsen, vice president; presi-dent; Susan Boren, secretary and treasurer; Shecrry Walker, reporter repor-ter and Roslyn Rees, activity chairman. This year the club chose two subjects, "It's Fun to Sew" and "Groom Your Room." Saturday, April 15 the club met with their leader, Bonnie Walker at the Forest Ranger's office. They and other 4-H girls took part in the re-seeding program pro-gram carried out by the Pleasant Grove Sportsmen Association. Neat Eight The Neat Eight 4-H Club met at the home of their leader, Mrs. Chloe Smith. The girls sewed on test patterns. Plans were made to take part in the re-seeding project pro-ject that took place Saturday, April 15 in the foothills east of Pleasant Grove. Larks Mrs. Clark's 4-H Larks had their first 4-H meeting Tuesday, April 11 at 5 at the home of their leader, Mrs. Jack Clark. The girls attending were Arvilla Dodge, Ann Ollivier, LeAnn Walker, Sandra Bone, ReNae Rawlinson and Shauna'Jo Shields. The following officers were el- Happy Homemakers . The Happy Homemaker3 with their mothers as guests met with their leader Evelyn Sohoonover at her home Tuesday. Viola Beers, 4-H supervisor and her daughter Betty talked to the girls about the influence of 4-H work. Refreshments were made by the girls and served to the mothers. moth-ers. Carolyn Bezzant, a new member, mem-ber, attended. The club helped to re-seed the foothills east of Pleasant Grove with the Sportsmen Association. |
