' ' JIM HARVEY Young Farmers president Young Farmers Elect Harvey As New President The Timpanogos Chapter of Ycung Fanners recently elected James Harvey of Manila to head the organization the coming year. He succeeds past president Dean Adams of Lindon and comes to the position with high qualification. qualifica-tion. Mr. Hai-vcy was graduated from Brigham Young Univei-sity in June 1957, with a major in Horticulture and a minor in agronomy. He is the soil of Mr. and Mrs. Leo P. Harvey of Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove and is married to Barbara Bar-bara Swenson of this city. Jim and Barbara have a year old son named Steven. Jim is a fruit farmer and farms north east of Manila. The newly elected Vice President Presi-dent is Robert T. Monson, also of Manila. Robert is a part time farmer far-mer and operates a small fruit farm near his home. He is also employed at Geneva Steel Company. Com-pany. Preston A. Madsen of Provo was elected chapter reporter. He was graduated from the Brigham Young University with a Bachelor's Bach-elor's degree in Ag vmomy. He operated as a partner with his father Alfred Midi -i on a large beef cattle ranch in the Lakeview area. The new officers replace outgoing out-going president Dean Adams of Lindon, Vice president Sherman Bennett of Alpine, Secretary El-Don El-Don Keetch of Lindon and Reporter Re-porter Jay Bennett of Alpine. Mr. Harvey will select his chapter secretary which is an appointive position at the next regular meeting meet-ing in April.
