Show Ladies Literary Elect Mrs. Jensen As New President Mrs. H. C. Jensen was elected president of the Ladies Literary club succeeding Mrs. John H. Miller, at a meeting Thursday of last week at the Bromley clubrooms. Mrs. William Roberts was elected vice-president, vice-president, and Mrs. Joseph Dunkley, secretary and treasurer. Other officers retained in their positions were Mrs. Clifford E. Young, chorister, and Mrs. William Thornton, organist. The outgoing officers are Mrs. Miller, president; Mrs. Hans Christensen, vice president; presi-dent; and Mrs. Jarvis Aydelotte, secretary and treasurer. The meeting was opened with, group singing, led by Mrs. Hans Christensen, with organ accompaniment accompani-ment by Mrs. Thornton. After the regular business was taken care of the president and officers were released, re-leased, and the new officers elected. Two new members, Mrs. A. W. Buckwalter and Mrs. T. A. Gr ,.r-wood, ,.r-wood, also were admitted. A vote of thanks was given to the officers who were released. The program featured a review of the book, "The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse", given by Mrs. M. H. Ingersoll, and two vocal solos by Mrs. V. F. Houston, accompanied by Miss Mildred Richards. Refreshments Refresh-ments were served to the eighteen members attending. Mrs. John W. Myers and Mrs. Joseph Nicholes were the hostesses. |
