Show Work Goes Forward on $13,700 Project To Memodel Old, Historic City Hall, Soon To Be Vacated By City Offices Work has begun on a $13,700 project to repair and redecorate the old city hall and library building and one of the earliest school build-ins, build-ins, which is soon to be vacated, when the city offices are moved to the newly constructed cine center on Main street. The work is being done by the W P A under the supervision su-pervision of Foreman George Hig-gins Hig-gins of Provo. Pleasant Grove city will furnish the materials. The west room has been leased to the Daughters of Utah Pioneers for a relic hall and meeting place. It will be re-painted and replast-ered. replast-ered. The two east rooms are to be used for shop and equipment. Floors will be cemented and wide doors substituted for the narrow ones. The exterior will be given new shingles and paint. Plans call for attractive landscaping with driveways for trucks and machinery. The preservation and beautification beautifica-tion of this pioneer educational institution in-stitution is highly commendable. r |
