Show Mayor Inspects Pleasant Grove Triple-C Camp Major Kent, district commander, arrived here Thursday with Mr. Huebner, chief clerk of the quartermaster quarter-master office of Fort Douglas, for a material inspection of the camp. After the inspection the two continued con-tinued on their way to inspect other camps in this local area. Dr. Danford, assistant district dentist, who has been doing dental work in this camp for the past two weeks, left yesterday with his assistants assist-ants for the Jericho camp. Dr. Dan-ford Dan-ford spends as much time in each camp as is necessary to complete the dental work that needs to be done, and arrives in each camp twice annually. The CCC Educational Conference at Fort Douglas will get under way Monday and last for the coming week. Representatives from this camp will be Mr. George L. Edman, Company Commander; Mr. E. W. Hoopes, Camp Superintendent; and Mr. Howard M. Benson, Educational Advisor. Mr. Benson will remain for the full conference while Mr. Edman and Mr. Hoopes will return in three days. It is hoped to discuss in the conference con-ference all problems that confront the educational programs in each camp. All camps will be represented represent-ed at the conference by the educational educa-tional adviser and other members of the camp Educational committee. Camp Unit Certificates were issued iss-ued late Thursday in Company meeting to some twenty enrollees for the outstanding work they have done in correspondence courses. Also Al-so several enrollees received certificates certifi-cates from the schools themselves along with letters commenting them on their fine work. |
