Show Schools News Two games of the G. A. A. basketball basket-ball series have been played this week. Monday the Seniors downed the Juniors with a 20 to 5 score, and Wednesday the Juniors won from the Sophomores with a 30 to 4 victory. . Senior High school students were entertained at a Valentine "social 1 hour" Wednesday afternoon, spon- j sored by the Girls Athletic associa- tion with Laura Swenson as general chairman assisted by Dora Oscarson, Elizabeth Blackhurst and Ruby Adams. Nellie Blackwell was in charge of music. A popularity contest was carried on early in the week under the direction di-rection of Dorothy Harris assisted by Mildred Fowlke and Eunice Kooy-man. Kooy-man. The most popular man and the most popular lady were crowned the king and queen of hearts at the matinee dance. Aries Stiener, Senior Sen-ior and Maxine Walker, Sophomore, won the honors and were presented by Dorothy Williamson, president. Miss Arvilla Clark was hostess to members of the school play cast at a delightful Valentine party last Saturday evening at the home of Mrs. O. E. Grua. Dinner was served at one long table, effectively decorated deco-rated in red and white, followed by progressive games. The guest list included Louise West, Charles Harris, Har-ris, Beth DeCamp, Beth Anderson, Elmer Foutz, Dorothy Williamson, Marene Walker, Ernest Grua, Ray Mills, Forrest Smith, Kayle Line-baugh, Line-baugh, Mercelle Farr and Alfred Dexter. Kayle Linebaugh won high score prize and Ray Mills the consolation con-solation prize. |
