Show I I Timpanogos I; Stake Scouts Hold i Celebration J Sixty-three scouts and scouters of , the Timpanogos stake met in com-i com-i memoration of the annual Scout Week celebration and to hear President Presi-dent Roosevelt's talk, at the Third ward chapel, Saturday morning. A. iH. Lowe and J. Ft. Halliday of the ' Court of Honor were present. Le-: Le-: Grand Jarman, stake scout master ! was in charge of the meeting, j Membership certificates and ; awards were awarded to the following follow-ing boys: Membership Gordon Wright, Reed Beck, Elwood Green, Bert West, Arlo Walker, Tom Larson, Lar-son, Don Gillman, Ralph Jacob; Second class scouts Glade Gillman, Wendell Gillman, Leland Louder, Hal Welberg, Leo Johnson, Verland Ash; Tenderfoot scouts Don Gill- man, Ralph Jacobs, Keith Nelson; Merit badges Don Gammett, Stanley Stan-ley Swenson, Elwood Freeman, Floyd Adams, Jack Gardner, William Will-iam West, Lloyd Louder, Vern Mar-rott, Mar-rott, Forest Driggs; Star scouts-Eugene scouts-Eugene Walker, Horace Walker: Life scouts Mark Gammett, Elwood El-wood Freeman and Marvin Pierson. The President's special award was presented to troop 22 of Pleasant Grove First ward. Some of the other wards will also receive awards having passed the test; but did not I reach headquarters soon enough to get to the meeting. The call to service by our President Presi-dent was for all scouts to gather! whatever surplus clothing, furniture, furni-ture, bedding, etc. that people have and turn it over to the chief organizations organ-izations for distribution to the needy families. |
