Show Fish and Game Association Elect Officers The annual meeting of the Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove Fish and Game Association Associa-tion was held in the High School building February 8th. The report of the secretary and treasurer was given and the matter of law enforcement enforce-ment was discussed. The association associa-tion still has a standing reward of $10.00 for information that will lead to the arrest and conviction of any person illegally shooting or taking quail or pheasants in the Pleasant Grove district. Mr. Lee Kay of the Fish and Game department gave a very interesting and Instructive talk on the rebuilding rebuild-ing of marsh areas and uses of the morginal land the government proposes pro-poses to acquire title to. After the regular meeting Mr. Kay showed a motion picture, taken by himself of various birds and animals of Utah, in their native environment, environ-ment, which was attended by a large and appreciative audience. j Officers elected for 1934 are: Ike Hayes, president; George L. Smith, vice-president; Oscar Lee, secretary-treasurer, secretary-treasurer, and Chas. B. Harper Jr., J. D. Wadley Jr. and Duane Carlson, directors. CHAMBER OF COMMERCE SELECTS COMMITTEES At a meeting of the Chamber of Commerce held Monday evening with President Junius A. West in charge the following committee heads were chosen: Advertising and Publicity, Earl Loader; Agricultural Subjects, Jack MaoFarlane; 'Business, 'Busi-ness, Vern Cullimore; Education, H. P. Jones; Finance, Erving Johnson; Membership, Dan E. Adams; Public Pub-lic Affairs and City Improvement, Bert Cooper; Recreation, Music and Entertainment, E. A. Beck. A membership mem-bership drive will be organized and put over within the next ten days. o |
