Show Plans Are Now Complete For Utah State Fair poultry will go on exhibition in the commodious poultry building, along with an exceptionally fine showing of pigeons. Virtually every known variety of poultry is to be exhibited in displays entered by breeders and poultry growers from every section of the vast area. Other exhibits include fish and game, oil and watercolor paintings, womens work, school and educational educa-tional displays, health exhibits, and the exposition of youth activities. There will be something doing every ev-ery minute from the opening of the gates early Saturday morning until they are closed on the night of October Oc-tober 8. A multitude of contests will furnish thrilling entertainment for those interested in varied vocations. voca-tions. These start with Future Farmers of America and 4-H club stock judging contests the first day of the fair and continue daily I throughout the eight days. Reports received by the fair management man-agement from various sections of the intermountain territory indicate the best representation of county fair prize-winning cattle, sheep and hogs ever gathered together at the big Utah event. Other early statistics indicate an equally strong showing of agricultural agricul-tural and horticultural products. Manufacturing will be represented in dozens of well-arranged displays of articles turned out by Utah mills and factories. Mines and mining, as usual, will command attention in exhibits provided by many of the state's great mining concerns, as well as representation by many mine equipment manufacturers. The Intermountain empire's finest club members, style dress revue and contest to determine the best dressmakers dress-makers among 4-H club girls, many demonstration contests in forestry, food preparation and the like. Visitors will be entertained as never before at the state fair. The management has arranged for many new amusement featuers, including a daiiy balloon ascension and parachute para-chute leap. Circus and vaudeville acts and displays of fire-works are on the program, as well as scores of carnival attractions, daily and nightly band concerts by bands from all over the state, and the regular shows of dogs and pet stock. |
