Show Third Ward Rushes Final Arrangements for Two-Day Celebration, Homecomming Last preparations are being made for the Pleasant Grove Third ward celebration and homecoming, at which members who have lived in the ward since its organization will get together for a good time, Saturday Sat-urday and Sunday. Afternoon sports, beginning at 2 o'clock, will start the two days' activities. ac-tivities. Softball games, boxing and other sports wall be held at the church grounds, and sideshows, fishponds fish-ponds and other concessions will be on hand to provide additional entertainment. en-tertainment. Saturday evening a floor show will be held in the ward amusement hall. A fine program, with many novel specialty numbers, is being arranged. Talks from former ward members and special musical numbers will feature the church services on Sunday. Sun-day. The evening services will be under the direction of the Mutual Improvement association. The largest presentation of Eagle badges at one time, in the history of the National Parks council of Boy Scouts, will be made at the Sunday evening meeting. Eighteen members of the troop will receive the badges, denoting high achievement achieve-ment in Scouting, at the meeting. In charge of arrangements for the celebration and homecoming are the bishopric, Frank D. Atwood, W. W. Lim and Wilford Neves; and the ward recreation committee, Harold Wright, Genevieve Wright, George Paul, Leone Told, Harold and May Hardman, Vance and Avis West, and Fred Shoell Jr. n |
