CITY REJECTS ROADS, TRUCK PROJECT PLAN A decision to pass up a proposed PWA project for street oiling, fire station remodeling and fire engine purchase was reached by the American Amer-ican Fork City council at a special meeting Tuesday night. Because of difficulty of financing the project, the council deemed it inadvisable to enter into the project at this time. Estimated cost of the entire project was $20,000. The city would be required to furnish more than 55 per cent, and it was pointed out. at the meeting that this could not be done without bonding the city beyond its limit or issuing tax-anticipation tax-anticipation notes. The proposal which had been under un-der investigation by the council for some time called for oiling of about eight miles of city streets, remodeling remodel-ing of the fire station to accomodate two fire trucks, and purchase of a new fire truck. n
