Show Pleasant Grove Will Entertain Old Folks The Oid Folks committee, consisting consist-ing of J. E. Hardman, Herbert Arm-istead Arm-istead and Milton Adamson, chairmen chair-men of the three wards, and Thomas Fenton Timpanogos stake chairman, has been busy the past week planning plan-ning the annual Old Folks Day for the three Pleasant Grove wards. This entertainment is always one of the outstanding events of the year. Everyone over 65 years of age .'n Pleasant Grove, all widows, widowers, widow-ers, the Stake Presidency and clerk and their wives, bishops and wives, and high councilmen and wives, residing re-siding in the three wards of Pleasant Grove are invited to be there. The Stake Presidency of the old Alpine Stake will be special guests of honor. At 11 a. m. all will meet at the J tabernacle where a general hand-I hand-I shaking and renewal of acquaintance will take place. At 12 noon, a real j banquet will be served in the base-j base-j ment of the tabernacle and if it I equals those of past years it will be one of the best meals of the year. During the banquet James D. Thome will act as toastmaster. At 2 p. m. the following program will be rendered: Solo, Howard Nelson; one-act play, dramatic students of the Pleasant Grove high school; guitar solos, Carol Ca-rol Harris, talks from visitors, Stake Presidency and others. Following the Old Folks will be guests of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Woot-ton Woot-ton at the Alhambra Theatre. |
