Show I Pleasant Grove Locals j Mrs. Lee Hall of Manti, was the guest last week of Mrs- Lawrenc: Peterson and family. The manila 4-H club members held a valentine supper and social at the home of Miss Helen Warnick, Thursday Thurs-day evening. The Manila ward Junior Girls enjoyed en-joyed a waffle supper at the home of their leader, Miss Ruby "Warnick, on Monday evening. Miss Virgina Walker has been ill with lagrippe the past week and unable un-able to take care of her school work in the Draper schools. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Mitchell announce an-nounce the birth of a granddaughter at Lehi on February 4. The mother is Reva Mitchell Hadfield. Mrs. May Hardman and Mrs. Fred Sholles and their group of Third ward junior girls enjoyed a skating party at Park-Ro-She at Springville Thursday evening. Mrs. Mary Halliday returned home Sunday after a week's visit with her son, John R., and family and her daughter, Mrs. Lucius Laudie, and family at Provo. Shoell returned Thursday from a two weeks' visit with her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Don Tabler of Bunker-ville, Bunker-ville, Nevada. She reports balmy skies and nice warm weather there. Varian West spent Saturday and Sunday with relatives here. He is staying with his sister, Mrs. A. N. Clawsoh, at 936 Wilson avenue, Salt Lake City, and taking special massacre mas-sacre .treatments for his arms, which the ladies of the Mothers club Thursday afternoon. S. A. Kirk gave a sketch of the life of Bertha Lee. Mrs. Lavona Jensen of Provo gave several musical numbers. A delicious delic-ious tray luncheon was served. James Gillman, Ray Gillman, Mrs. Viola Harris, Mrs. Delbert Walker, Florence Walker, Warren Othello, Guy and Deral Walker, went to Boise, Idaho, the first of the week to attend the funeral of Vern Walker, Walk-er, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Walker, formerly of this city. Clifford L. Wright, manager of the Pleasant Grove Canning Company, returned Sunday from a month's trip to eastern points of the United States on Pleasant urove canning Co. business. He reports a very profitable trip. He comes home enthused en-thused with canning company business, busi-ness, already for the coming year's campaign. Mrs. Joseph West is at a hospital in Brigham City in a serious condition. condi-tion.
