The prospective groom gradu-ated from Mt. Pleasant High School. He is employed at Geneva Steel. The newlyweds will make their first home in Lehi. The prospective groom is the son of RaKell and Dave Ferre of American Fork. The newlyweds will be honored at a reception that same evening from 7 to 9 at the Lehi 1st, 6th, 16th Ward, 120 W. 200 South. All friends and relatives are invited to attend. The bride-to-b- e is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jeffery Batchelor of Lindon. The prospective groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Walsh of American Fork. The newlyweds will be honored at a reception that same evening from 7:30 to 9:30 at the home of the bride, 738 W. Lakeview Road, Lin-don. All friends and relatives are invited to attend. Kolter-mann, Lehi, are pleased to announce the forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Melanie, to Ryan Hansen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael D. Hansen, Lehi. The couple will exchange vows in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on Aug. 1 1 . A reception will honor the newlyweds that same eveningfrom 7 to 9 at the Lehi 8th Ward, 892 N. 700 East. She attended Ricks College and is currently working at Align-ment Specialists in Salt Lake City and attending the Salt Lake Com-munity College. The prospective groom is a gradu-ate of Lehi High School. He at-tended Snow College and served an Ryan Hansen Melanie A. Koltermann LDS mission to Calgary, Canada. He is currently working at the Lehi Block Plant. The couple will make their first home in Taylorsville. Golden Anniversary open house set for Marvin and Ruby Brown 4 ' j " f '1 """ Marvin and Ruby Harrington Brown, former long-tim- e residents of American Fork, are celebrating their Golden Wedding Anniversary. An open house honoring them will be held Saturday, Aug. 12, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the American Fork 8th Ward, 300 N. 100 East. All friends and relatives are cor-dially invited to attend. The family requests no gifts, please. Marvin and Ruby were class-mates as they attended school in American Fork. They were mar-ried Sept. 30, 1939. Marvin served in Italy during World War II. H was a linotype operator by profession, working many years at the Citizen, as well as the Provo Herald and Salt Lake Tribune. He and Ruby also operated the Center Sweet Shop across from the old high school during the 40's and early 1950's. Ruby worked as a secretary for various firms and at BYU Press. In American Fork, she was a member of the Junior Ladies Literary Club. Active in PTA and the American Cancer Society, she served on state boards for each organization. Marvin and Ruby moved to Rich-field where Marvin worked at the local paper and Ruby as secretary at the Indian Dormitory. They are active members of the LDS Church and have been serving as Swedish Extraction Missionaries for many years. They were sealed as a couple Marvin and Ruby H. Brown in the Manti LDS Temple on June 11, 1976. In their retirement, they have enjoyed traveling and fishing. They are the parents of Larry Brown, Florida; Bruce Brown, Provo; Jerry Brown, Lehi; and Becky Hinckley, Fremont, Calif. They have 21 grandchildren. Jacqueline P. Fork to " " " " " Art works sought for autumn show entitled 'Utah Grandeur' The Springville Museum of Art has issued a call for entries for their Geneva Steel Autumn Show titled "Utah Grandeur". The exhibition to be held from Oct. 14 through Dec 3, will feature works depicting the grandeur of Utah's most spectacular landscapes. This show, which will be both juried an d curated, seeks entries of the unique and overpowering land-scapes of Utah - our mountains, cliffs, lakes, arches, canyons, vis-tas and towering stone monuments, etc. A major catalogue of 60 pages, five color plates, 44 black and white illustrations and text will chron-icle the history of landscape paint-ing in Utah, focusing on the grandi-ose. There will be a $5 entry fee with a limit of two works per artist with all entry revenue being used for awards. Art will be received October 3 through 7, 1989 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Yards not listed The yards of the week will not be listed this week due to technical difficulties.
