Review -- Wed., May 11, 1988-Pag- e 14 Carol Wells Allen Q obituaries Lorene Cedarstrom t ' A Carol Christina Fautin Wells Allen, 78, of Lindon, died Wed-nesday, May 4, 1988 at her home following a long illness. She was born Jan. 27, 1910 in Monroe to Charles C. and Printha Winget Fautin. She married Rulon E. Wells April 13, 1929 in Richfield. The marriage was later solemnized in the Mesa LDS Temple. He died Oct. 10, 1959. She married Merrill Allen Jan. 24, 1970 in Provo. She received her early education in Monroe and later at-tended Utah Technical College. After her first marriage she moved to Los Angeles, Calif. Then they moved to Lindon, where she had resided since. She worked as educational secretary at Pleasant Grove Jr. High for 15 years, until her retirement. She was active in civic and church af-fairs. She was living in the Lindon 7th Ward. She had served as stake and ward Relief Society president, stake Young Women's president, ward Primary president and had taught in all the auxiliaries. She also served stake missions in California and Lindon. She was a founding member of the Pleasant Grove Cadmus Club. Survivors include her husband of Lindon; one son and two daughters: Rulon J. Wells, Orem; Mrs. John Lehi (Lila) Jensen, Pleasant Grove; Mrs. David (Linda) Caldwell, Lindon; one stepson and two stepdaughters: David Allen, Kallamazoo, Mich.; Mrs. Nathan (Kathleen) Adams, Manila; Mrs. Larry (Peggy) Pate, American Fork; 12 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; one brother and two sisters: CD. (Bob) Foutin and Mrs. Hyrum Grant (June) Butler, both Orem; Mrs. Thornley "Tuck" (Alameda) Gammon, Provo. She was preceded in death by a brother, Reed Fautin. Funeral services were held Saturday, May 7, in the Lindon 7th Ward. Burial was in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery. Lorene Hanna Eisaman Cedarstrom, 87, died Saturday, May 7, 1988 at her home at Pelican Point, west of Utah Lake, of congestive heart failure. She was born July 10, 1900 in Mercur to Albert John and Hanna Eveline Olsson Eisaman. She married Roger Cedarstrom Dec. 5, 1919 in Pioche, Nev. He died in November of 1962. She was a homemaker. She had lived in Nevada and American Legion Auxiliary. Survivors include one son and one daughter, Ernest Roger Cedar-strom, Pelican Point; Mrs. Van A. (Thelma) Barnes, Pleasant Grove; seven grand-children; 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral will be Wednesday, May 11, at noon, Wing Mortuary Chapel, 118 E. Main, Lehi, where friends may call 11 a.m. until time of service. Burial in the Lehi City Cemetery. Utah. She was a member of the LDS Church and a life member of the Kasey McCandless Adelbert 'Dell' Smith Graveside services for Kasey Lynn Mc- Candless, the infant daughter of Bud and Tamara Lynn Murie McCandless, were held Tuesday, May 10 at Alpine City Cemetery. She was born April 25, 1988 and died May 7, 1988 in Provo of com-plications after birth. Survivors include her parents of Orem; grandparents, Gale and Eula McCandless, and Ben and Linda Murie, all Lehi; Mrs. Crosby Rogers, Lindon. Services were under the direction of Wing Mortuary, Lehi. fr--' ' i Pa - r'- 1 f'i A, ;'J 1 Arvil Oliver Stone Adelbert "Dell" Smith, 84, of American Fork, died Friday, May 6, 1988 in American Fork. He was born Feb. 5, 1904 in American Fork, the son of William Thomas and Margaret Crompton Smith. He married Delia Doyle July 7, 1925 in Provo. The marriage was later solemnized in the Provo LDS temple. She died Feb. 19, 1965. He married Lola Florean Hansen June 20, 1981 in American Fork. He was a high priest, home teacher, vice Adelbert Doyle Smith, Max J. Smith, Ronald G. Smith, all American Fork; Ralph L. (Hank) Smith, Las Vegas, Nev.; Mrs. Loran D. (Doris) Cook, Orem; 25 grandchildren; 36 n ; one brother, Carl Smith, Pleasant Grove. He was preceded in death by two grand-sons. Funeral was Tuesday, May 10 at the American Fork Sixth Ward. Miller Arvil Oliver Stone, 89, of Lehi, died following a short illness Friday, May 6, 1988 at the home of his son in Lehi. He was born Nov. 20, 1898 in Vineyard to Joseph Oliver and Emma Christina Larson Stone. He married Ruth Goodrich March 10, 1919 in Duchesne. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He was a dairy far-mer and drove a school bus. He had served as president of the Farm Bureau, president of the Hutchings Museum Board in Lehi and was a Men's president and a high councilman in the Sharon and Lehi Stake High Councils. Survivors include his wife of Lehi; five sons and one daughter: Arvil G. Stone, Sandy; Reed Stone, Barstow, Calif.: Dal Stone, Lake Elsinore, Calif. ; Kay Stone, Lehi; Mrs. Eldon (Myrtle) Cox, Salt Lake City; 22 grandchildren; 46 great grandchildren; one brother, Clouide Stone, Orem. Services were held Monday, May 9, in the Lehi LDS Ward. Burial was in the Lehi City Cemetery. member of the Lehi Civic Improvement Association. He has served in the LDS Church in several positions including Sunday School superintendent, Young Marie Tomlinson Miller, 70, of Pleasant Grove, died Friday, May 6, 1988 at the Alpine Valley Care Center in Pleasant Grove. She was born March 29, 1918 in Pleasant Grove to Clifford and Ivadell Marrott Tomlinson. She married Elmo H. Miller Feb. 15, 1941 in Salt Lake City. She attended schools in Pleasant Grove, graduating from Pleasant Grove High School in 1936. She graduated from Utah State University in 1940 with a degree in home economics. She taught home economics in high school in Louisiana during World War II. She has worked with her husband on the family farm in Pleasant Grove for many years. She was a member of the LDS Church and had served as a Primary teacher. She served with her husband on the Old .Folks Committee. She enjoyed homemaking, gar dening and camping. She is survived by her husband of Pleasant Grove; a son and a daughter, Mrs. Stephen E. (Suzanne) Gregory, Spanish Fork; Benny Adams, Pleasant Grove; six grand-children; two brothers, Gene Tomlinson and Lowell Tomlinson, both of Pleasant Grove. ' ' Services were held Tuesday, May 10, at Olpin Family Mortuary, Pleasant Grove. Burial was in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery. William R. Gray Marlene C. Gifford William Ronald "Canasta" Gray, 56, of Gentry, Ark., died Monday, May 2, 1988 of a heart attack. He was born Dec. 17, 1931 in Lehi to James Richard and Patta Brown Gray. He married Juanita Turner May 26, 1955 in Pleasant Grove. They were later divorced. He worked as a way master for Peterson Processing Plant. He served in the Marine Corps. He had lived in Lehi, Pleasant Grove and American Fork before moving to Arkansas. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Survivors include four sons and two daughters: Terry Lee Gray and Dennis Ronald Gray, both West Valleyi City; Mark James Gray and Scott Wayne Gray, both Grantsville; Vicki Lynn Bradley, Salt Lake City; Sharon Dawn Ivie, Taylorsville; six grandchildren; his father of Lehi; three brothers and one sister: Dick Gray, Santa Clara; Allen Gray, Gentry, Ark.; Kenneth Dean Gray, Taylor-sville; Mrs. Thomas A. (Rhea) Devey. American Fork. Funeral services were held Friday, May 6. in the Wing Mortuary Chapel, Lehi. Burial was in the Lehi City Cemetery. She was born Oct. 8, 1934 in Clifton, Idaho, the daughter of Willis Jacob and Ora Kofoed Choules. She married Grant Reid Gifford Jan. 21, 1952 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She was the first Relief Snrioty president in the Philippine Islands and was presently serving as first counselor in the Relief Society, Alpine 6th Ward. She has been active in the youth (JeNee) Hutchinson, Ft. Riley, Kansas; N. Paul Gifford, Missionary Training Center, Provo; Christopher Gifford and David Gifford, both of Alpine; her mother of Gilbert, Ariz.; four sisters: Joyce Tilley, serving an LDS mission in New York; Kaye Peterson, Idaho Falls, Idaho; Maridee Earl, Sandy; Nancy Hill, Gilbert, Ariz.
