Show Four scouts receive Eagle rank in special ceremony ? - I T Si r - p---. i - - , . - r y : ' " ' v. ' V ' ' i 'Y Lvv' if' - a very special Eagle Court of Honor was held recently in the Pleasant Grove Eighteenth Ward ,here four scouts received the rank : The four boys are Todd Blaine Baldwin, Christopher Joseph i Walker, Michael Carl Erickson, and I Justin Chad Evans. ' Conducting the ceremony was Ed 'i Adams; Chad Baldwin led the Pledge of Allegiance; the opening nrayer was by Bishop Clark Evans; sneakers were Paul L. Christi and President Robert Hilton; a video was presented by Mike Erickson; 1 the awards were presented by Dean Davis; the neckerchiefs were 1 oreSented by Scott Horman; and the closing prayer was by Jim Walker. I Twid is the oldest of six, almost seven, children. He has lived in Orem! Fairbanks, Alaska, and 1 pleasant Grove. Hi Sports and more sports are Todd's h main interests as he has played football, soccer, baseball, wrestling and basketball. He has received his Arrow of Light H Award and the Heavy Shoulders Award in Cub Scouts, ies: Todd loves BYU sports, his if: favorite foods are pizza and ice cream. He shares a paper route with his younger brother and earns his own S spending money. Chris is the youngest of six children in his family. He helps his mother with the Blazers and he is !also a den chief. He goes to round table and doesn't like to miss any scout meeting. He wouldn't care if he had scout meetings every day. i He helps his mom sew on his badges and helped make a scout Jiblanket. His parents felt that just turning 13 was too young to get an New Eagle Scouts from the Pleasant Grove 18th Ward are, L-R, Justin Evans, Mike Erickson, Todd Baldwin and Chris Walker. Eagle badge but he worked hard and earned it. Chris uses his time wisely and will probably follow in his dad's footsteps foot-steps as an inventor. He loves fitting and building things together. His love for music showed up at a very early age when he sang about everything. He used to sing himself to sleep and when he broke his wrist and collar bone he sang while he waited for the doctor. Mike is the youngest of the three children in his family. He loves baseball and has played second base on the Little League and Pony League teams for several years. He is also a good artist and loves to sketch and especially to draw cartoons. Mike enjoys working with electronic elec-tronic equipment and is the first one in the family to figure out how to use new things. He learned how to use the video transfer machine and has put his creative talent to work producing a video which was shown at the Eagle ceremony. He enjoys the computer and uses it to earn his own money producing newsletters for his dad's business. He also mows lawns and takes care of the neighborhood dogs. Mike has always loved Scouting and has held many leauersnip positions. Justin is the oldest of four children. He has the ability to organize activities and people whether it is for work or fun. He enjoys hiking, camping, fishing, backpacking in the Uintas, horsebck riding, swimming, hunting deer and antelope, golf and basketball. Justin also loves to go to all the BYU basketabll and football games with his family. He has always enjoyed scouting and as a Blazer Scout he earned all 12 skill awards and the Brass Cup award. |
