Show Junior Rodeo Queens selected last week Of; , v vi- H Angela Jones was chosen : strawberry Days Jr. Rodeo Queen on May 7. Her attendants are Denise Clay, first attendant, and Lisa Jacob, second attendant. The contest was held at the 61 Pleasant Grove Arena with Russell Schow as judge. The girls will participate in the 1 ' Strawberry Days Childrens Parade, t Mammoth parades and each night Ia: of the rodeo. IV 3; 'fc Angela Jones is the 14-year-old $ : daughter of Craig and Sue Jones of U878 North 1300 West, Pleasant Ms Grove. She is in the eighth grade at si;P.G. Jr. High where she is on the lire honor roll and active in sports. Angela is also active in city :e z basketball and has been in horse 4-H 4-H for six years. Angela won the e fc-.contest riding her horse J.W. Books, who she will be using in the rodeo and 4-H this year. The first attendant is Denise Clay, daughter of Gary and Karmel Clay of 170 N. Proctor Ln., Pleasant Grove. Denise is 10 years old and in fourth grade at Manila Elementary. She enjoys showing her horse Buttermilk Buzz and reading and sewing. Denise has also been an active member of the horse 4-H for the past six years. Lisa Jacob, the second attendant, is the daughter of Paul and Carolyn Jacob of 349 E. 200 South, Pleasant Grove. Lisa is 12 years old and in the sixth grade at Central Elementary. She enjoys playing the violin, track, cooking and sewing. Lisa is active in horse 4-H and spends lots of fun times helping her family with their sheep ranch. The alternate for the Jr. Rodeo Strawberry Days Jr. Rodeo Royalty is, L-R, first attendant at-tendant Denise Clay; Queen Angela Jones; and second attendant Lisa Jacob. royalty is Ronda Schroder of 891 N. 800 East, Orem. Ronda is the daughter of George Schroder and enjoys showing her horse. |
