Show f N ! 1 Symphony highlights local cellist The University of Utah Symphony is proud to present international concert cellist Gayle Smith at the Symphony Hall on Thursday evening, April 5, at 8 p.m. with Jason Klein conducting. The program will include Miss Smith performing the Shostakovich Cello Concerto in E minor and Beethoven's "Eroica" Symphony. Tickets are available through the box office at Kingsbury Hall on the university campus for $2.50 and $1.50 for students and senior citizens. Gayle Smith, who lives in Highland, has concertized extensively ex-tensively in Europe, Australia, Africa and the U.S. The Times of London has called her acellist of GAYLE SMITH "uncommon sensitivity" and the New York Times hailed her as a "remarkably fine cellist" after her Lincoln Center debut.
