Show P.G. Recreation to hold Softball clinic March 31 Pleasant Grove City Recreation will be sponsoring a softball skills clinic on Saturday, March 31, from noon to 4 p.m. at the Pleasant Grove Community Center. If the weather is good, those that register will go down to Shannon Field (by the rodeo grounds). The clinic will feature eight All-American All-American players, two U.S.A. Pan-American Pan-American team members, and three former national batting champions. Besides being talented in their own right, each is a qualified instructor with many years of clinic experience. Those who will be involved include, Vaughn Alvey, Terry Stapely, Mona Stevens, Larry Miller, Brendan Keehan, Dennis Dahle, Bobby Hackmeister, Chris Hansen, Jill Jensen, Ken Hackmeister, and many more. Clinics are structured to have an adequate number of instructors for each area. Included will be pitching, hitting, slap and run, bunting, left handers, base running, coaching and managing, catching (theory), fielding in both the infield and outfield. The emphasis will be on the individual instruction and work. This will be a participation clinic, not just a lecture. This clinic will be under the auspices of the Utah State Softball Association. Pre-registratioh for the clinic will be both at the Pleasant Grove Recreation and at Top 10 Sports in the University Mall. All ages are invited, including little boys and girls to men and women. |
