Show Vandalism cases continued to plague police department reports ... .3 IV j Scott Roberts, Lindon, told Officer Of-ficer Dave Vickers that a theft had occurred at a home he owns in Pleasant Grove at 30 S. 1136 East. An energy saving device attached to the furnace and valued at $849 was taken. The case is under investigation. Officer Grant Kerre arrested two adults and one juvenile, all on charges of illegal possession of alcohol. One female and two male juveniles were arrested in separate incidents for shoplifting at Nortons. All were referred to juvenile court . One female adult was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol. GKEG WRIGHT, son of Wayne and Marianne Wright of Pleasant Grove, won second place in the District Spelling Bee recently. Greg is a sixth grader at Valley View Elementary and his teacher is Fran Nicholes. He is now an alternate to the state spelling bee. Pleasant Grove Police investigators in-vestigators are still being plagued with a large number of vandalism incidents, although a series of mailbox vandalisms have apparently ap-parently been solved by the arrest of a male adult and one juvenile. Officer Bert Bean arrested the two following investigation of several incidents where mail boxes were pried from their posts at different locations within the city. A home owned by Franklin Harding at 361 E. 900 North was reported vandalized. The report came from 'the real estate agent who has been handling the sale of the home. When the Ilardings moved the house had been cleaned and carpets shampooed. Since then, according to Detective Steve Framplon, someone has entered the home breaking light fixtures, light switches, pulling panelling from walls, scattering powders and caustic chemicals on the floors, breaking plumbing fixtures etc. Oct. Framplon has suspects. No estimate of the damage was listed. Scott Campbell, 375 S. 100 East, reported that windows had been broken out of his backporch and back door. Officer Bert Bean said that rocks had been thrown through the windows. Two small boys are suspected of doing the damage and their mother is seeing they make restitution. Maple Hills Motel reported the theft of towels and sheets valued at $30. Officer Bean is investigating and has a suspect. |
