Show Reta B. Brown Reta Fowler Broadbent Brown, 83, died March 9, 1984 in Salt Lake City. She was born Dec. 16, 1900 in Lehi, to Edmund and Mary Elizabeth Fowler. She married Spencer Hampson in 1924 in Ogden. He died in 1944. She married Sylvester Broadbent in May, 1945 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died in 1965. She married Alex Brown in May, 1974. He died Dec. 17, 1983. She graduated from Dee Hospital in Ogden as a R.N. in 1924. She was an active member of the LDS Church and was president of the Relief Society, held offices in Primary, MIA and Sunday School. She was Mission Mother of the West Central States Mission in Billings, Montana and served with President Broadbent in 1951-54. She lived a life of service to many others, family, friends, neighbors and any in need. She is survived by two daughters, Lyn Clayton, Midway, and Jayne Kay Hilton, Murray; 13 grand children: Jolyn Dickey, Christy Brimhall, Scott Anderson, Pat Knibbe, Kim Anderson, Dave Knibbe, Courtney Alicia, Mark Knibbe, Barbara Bradshaw, Cindy Castleton, Tracy Anderson, Troy Anderson, An-derson, Laurie Anderson; An-derson; 24 greatgrandchildren; great-grandchildren; sister, Nadine Brown, Payson; three brothers, Lyn Fowler, Provo, Alton Fowler, San Jose, Calif.; and Milan Fowler, Lehi. Funeral services were held Tuesday in Salt Lake City. |
