Show Pee Wees to register All boys and girls ages six (or going into first grade) to eight years old are invited to sign up for Pee Wee Hard Ball on March 23 and March 30 at the Lindon Elementary School from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. This league is not formed through or associated with the Pleasant Grove Recreation. There are a limited number of teams so sign up early. The registration fee is $10. Coaches will pitch to the kids and all children will play at least two innings per game. The only things the kids will need are a mitt and lots of energy. All games will be played either at Lindon Park or at Lindon Elementary on Saturday mornings . beginning on June 2. Sophs win region championship The Pleasant Grove High School sophomora basketball team won the region championship, after being undefeated in league play. They had a record of 10 wins and no losses. They played three of the top 4A teams. They defeated Cypress and Hillcrest, and lost a close game to Brighton. The team was coached by Bruce Bushnell. Coach Bushnell feels that his players had an outstanding season with great potential for the future. ; x- t i fit? Free throw marathon Here's the results of the recent Free Throw marathon held at Pleasant Grove High School by the girls basketball team. All participating girls shot 200 free throws. Margo Nelson made 185 for 93 percent to top the list. Nelson also made 29 in a row at one point during the marathon. Bonnie Turner was the next best scorer with 144 and she had 15 in a row without a miss.
