Show Lindon Plans Meter Change In a brief meeting last Wednesday the Lindon City Council decided to change the method of reading meters as a money-saving measure. City Recorder Mark Palesh said that the city would now take applications ap-plications for three parttime watermeter readers. The council will divide the city into three sections. One reader in each section would read the meters every other month. Other, communities using this method say it only costs about one-fifth one-fifth of the normal cost of reading meters. Retired persons or others desiring parttime work are asked to contact Lindon City Hall regarding these positions. The council also canvassed the election results of Tuesday's election. They were no changes. The city is desigous of updating all the city laws. Model ordinances, using those from other communities as well, will be drawn , up in -; preparation of updating the laws. |
