American Education Weeks Starts Sunday The Alpine Education Association wants you to know that nationwide, November 15-2- 1 is American Education Week. This year's theme is "American Education and You: Partners in our Children's Future." Locally the AEA wants you to know why you can be proud of Alpine District Schools. Several activities are planned for the week. Posters announcing American Education Week will be displayed throughout the com-munity. Patrons are invited to visit the schools and see first-hand what great things are happening in their children's classrooms. Activities are. planned within each school for student participation in noting what is good about their school. Civic groups will have the opportunity to hear from their educators and students the reasons they can be proud of the schools in Alpine School District. National sponsors of the week include the NEA, PTA, School Boards Association and the US Department of Education. In this area of tension over monies and taxes, these organizations want to bring back to the spotlight the acom-plishmen- ts and services springing from our system of public education and our dedicated educators. a a 4 Insurance I I George W.
