Grovecrest School Library Gets $300 Check for New Books from PTA PTA President Mrs. Allen T. Longman of Grovecrest School and Mrs. Glenn Woods, secretary, secre-tary, recently presented Grovecrest Grove-crest School librarian Nelda Wadley with a check for $300 by the PTA durng the years 1971 and 1972. Project RISE is designed to create more interest in-terest and desire in reading by providing means whereby all children will have interesting and informative reading material ma-terial at their disposal. on behalf of the PTA. Through their project RISE (Reading Improvement Services Servic-es Everywhere), the PTA is providing better reading material mat-erial for the students and more of it. Mrs. Wadley indicated the library has been in need of a good set of encyclopedias for older grades, and part of the donation would provide for these. The money has been earned |
