Show Judge Drops Vikings 35-0 In Final Game Judge Memorial, rated by many as one of the strongest, if not the strongest football team in the state, romped to a 35-0 win over Pleasant Grove last Friday at Westminster College. The Judge team will meet Dixie today (Thursday) at 1:30 in Cougar Stadium on the BYU Campus to determine the AAA champion. Pleasant Grove was badly outclassed it seemed but several sever-al fumbles, and five pass interceptions inter-ceptions during the game did not help the situation. In the second half the Vikings Vik-ings seemed to move the ball with a little more authority, and their defensive stiffen up to hold the Judge team scoreless score-less in the third quarter. Judge Memorial is unbeaten in pre-season, league and now in championship play, and hold three victories over the Utah County football teams, Provo, American Fork, and Pleasant Grove. With Provo playing for the AAAA championship, it looks like Judge might claim to be the best football team in the state, should Provo win. Anyway, Pleasant Grove has a fine football team this year, and their record this year is the best for several years. |
