Parents of High School Students to Evaluate School in Studies Program Parents of Pleasant Grove High School students will be evaluating the school. The social so-cial studies seminar class, under un-der the direction of Richard Warnick, have met with the high school counselors to formulate for-mulate a parent questionnaire. Approximately 100 parents representing 10 per cent of the studentbody, will be contacted by the social studies group, who will explain the questionnaire question-naire and its purpose. The survey will begin tomorrow, to-morrow, Nov. 17. Mr. Warnick will be conducting the interviewing. inter-viewing. The sampling Is an attempt to get feelings and reactions concerning the Pleasant Grove High School from a parent's point of view. No names will be on any of this confidential information. The types of questions ques-tions on the questionnaire are concerning the school's grading grad-ing and attendance system, graduation requirements, dress standards, school staff, respect for authority, preparation for family life, preparation for the world of work, school lunch, and etc. It is hoped that the parents who are contacted will give their honest opinions. Pleasant Grove High School is undergoing a major self-evaluation self-evaluation as a part of a five-year five-year curriculum development program started in 1969 and 1970. The school's goal this year is an evaluation of progress made in curriculum development, develop-ment, according to Principal John P. Gourley. |
