Show V- y: y- PLANNERS Mayors Neal Savage, Jack Cook, Morris Clark, sitting and William Devey and A.F. City Councilman LaDell Terry, chairman, are planning to honor Vets at meeting Saturday in Am. Fork. Lindon Mayor Stanley Walker was not present. Veterans to Be Honored on Saturday All area residents who have served in the armed forces of their country from August 1964 to the present time are invited to attend a special banquet and program in their honor on Saturday, Nov. 25 at the Stake Tabernacle in American Fork. Starting time has been set for 7 p.m. according to Douglas E. Nicholes, general chairman. There is no charge for the banquet, however, veterans are urged to return their invitations invita-tions within the next few days in order that committee members mem-bers may know how many to plan for, Mr. Nicholes said. If any veteran has not been contacted, con-tacted, he is asked to contact Mr. Nicholes at. 756-2228 as soon as possible. The evening has been set aside to honor the veterans, committee members said, and it is hoped that all Vietnam era veterans with their partners or their parents are planning to attend. There is no charge, it is emphasized. Mayors of American Fork, Pleasant Grove, Lindon, Lehi, and Alpine are assisting with the program, and will be on hand at the banquet, it was announced. The program will feature numbers from each of the communities involved. LaDell Terry, American Fork City Councilman, is coordinating coordinat-ing the arrangements for the event with the various communities, com-munities, Mr. Nicholes stated. |
