Show lAE's 'Fantasticks' Opens Aug. 21 in Tent The Intermountain Actors Ensemble and the Kimball' Art Center will present a special theatrical event in Park City starting August 21 - Tom Jones and Harvey Schmidt's long running off-Broadway off-Broadway musical comedy hit "The Fantasticks". This charming romantic musical about the perils of falling in love has just completed its twentieth year at the Sullivan Street Play house in New York City making it off-Broadway's longest running play. The IAEKAC production stars new Park City residents Barbara Bramble and Steve Stanczyk as the star-crossed lovers "Matt" and "Luisa". Long-time Park City theatre peVformer Kurt Graf is the omni-present "El Gallo". Chuck Folkerth and Peter Holdorf co-star as the har-rassed har-rassed fathers who only try to work things out for their kids and end up causing havoc. 1AE newcomer, Rai French, is the old actor Henry while IAE veterans. Leslie Luyken and Clayton Maw, essay the roles of the "Mute" and "Mortimer", the man who dies. The musical is under the direction of IAE's resident director, Ron Burnett. Musical Musi-cal direction is by Linda Martin, the accompanist is Roxanne Shapiro with production pro-duction design by Jean Piatt and Ron Burnett. Clayton Maw will be doing double! duty as the stage manager. The production opens August Aug-ust 21 and plays August 22. 27. 28 and 29 and again on September 3, 4 and 5. Curtain is at 8 p.m. in the Park City Tent located in Swede Alley. Tickets are $3.50 for KAC members, students and senior citizens; $4.50 for adults and non-members. non-members.
