Show Piranhas Outswim JCC to Season's First Victory The Prospector Piranhas won their first swim meet last Friday against the Salt Lake Jewish Community Center with a point score of 121 to 108. The "Park City team had been plagued with a shortage short-age of team members. Even though they usually won most ot the tirst places they never had enough total points to win their meets, but that was before Friday. The team added six new members to reach what turned out to be the magic number of eleven swimmers for the meet held at the Prospector Athletic Club. Friday's swimmers included includ-ed Craig Griffin, Matt Burnett, Heidi Burnett, Julie Burnett, Kevin Ffolliday, Ari Colt, Stacy Colt, Tami Warr, Ali Solomon, Shane Chavez and Dawn Calavan. The Piranhas started off by taking home another trophy, this time it was for the opening Medley Relay. Ari Colt, Matt Burnett. Heidi Burnett and Julie Burnett brought home the gold. First-timers Griffin, Warr, Holliay, and S. Colt were able to give the team the depth they needed by garnering gar-nering first, second and third places in their events. The team captured twelve first places in the individual events. J. Burnett took 3 first, H. Burnett - 2 firsts, M. Burnett - 2 firsts, with Griffin, Holliday, Chavez, S. t Colt, and Calavan each finishing first in one of their events. The Piranhas Girls free style relay of Solomon, Warr, H. Burnett and J. Burnett then topped it off with another first place finish. Piranhas' coach Sue Broder said she discovered some new backstrok'ers among some of the first-timers. She said she's still hoping to pursue a winter team with more swim meets.' in the near future.
