Show St. Mary's Celebration Set into a parish hall. Father Carley said, "everyone "every-one is invited. Any friend of St. Mary's regardless of religious affiliation." This latest event follows the centennial ball held last January with Utah's Governor Gover-nor Scott Matheson in attcnHnn" Father Carley said the mass and reception "is really a celebration of the past and the durability of St. Mary's which was almost forced to close its doors. It's also a celebration of a hundred years of ministry in Park City and the strength of Park City families who kept it alive and literally helped the church rise from the ashes." The second part of St. Mary's Catholic Church's year-long centennial celebration celebra-tion gets underway this weekend. Si. Mary's pastor. Father Patrick F. Carley, has announced a special mass set for Sunday, August 16 at 4 p.m. Father Carley said the Homily portion of the mass will be preached by Park City native. Father George F. Davich, who is currently pastor of, the Holy Family Church in Ogden. In addition, Utah's Most Reverend Bishop William K. . Wicsand will be in atten dance as well as many former and old-time residents resi-dents of Park City who are coming from all over the state to attend the festivities. The mass will be followed by, a special reception and historical display in the old St. Mary's School building which has been remodeled |
