Show Preservation Month Coming in May The Utah Heritage Foundation, Founda-tion, in conjunction with the Utah Historical Society, has declared the month of May as Preservation Month in Utah. The Foundation will sponsor its annual historic home tour Saturday and Sunday, May 19 and 20. Ten elegant old homes and the Denver and Rio Grande Depot will be featured on the lour. The homes are: Thomas Quayle Home 355 Quince Street; Charles Bell Home 68 G Street; James Glendinning Home 619 East South Temple; Simon Bamberger Home 623 East First South; Thomas Goodman Home 123 J Street; Gratia Flanders Home 1059 East South Temple; Pedar Franklin Home 1116 East South Temple; Grant-Walker Grant-Walker Home 1205 East South Temple; John Harris Picknell Home 1216 First Avenue; and A. Blair Richardson Richard-son Home 1418 Arlington Drive. The Denver and Rio Grande Depot at Third South and Rio Grande Street is currently being renovated. It will serve as the headquarters for the Utah Historical Society when completed. com-pleted. The tour will run both May 19 and 20 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Utah Heritage Foundation Volunteers will be on hand at each home to guide the tours and furnish historical back ground on the homes. Beverages Bever-ages will be served in each home and light refreshments will be available at the Denver and Rk Grande Depot. Tickets are $5.00 for adults and $1.00 for children under 12. There is a $1.00 discount for Heritage Foundation members. Tickets can be purchased in advance by mail or in person at the Thomas Quayle home on 355 Quince Street (140 West 350 North). If ordering by mail, please enclose a check and a stamped, self addressed envelope. On May 19 and 20, tickets can be purchased ai the Thomas Quayle Home, the James Glendinning Home (619 East South Temple) or the Grant-Walker Home (1205 East South Temple). Preservation Month tours will also be given in Park City on May 26, Ogden on May 12, Davis County on May 12, and Provo on July 24. A Logan home tour will be held May 26 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. It will begin at 271 West Center Sireei in Logan and tickets are $3.00.
