During the blockade of tho street, there yvas some comprint com-print from residents living north of tho bridge because of the danger from fire which that end of th city was exposed to during the time the street was closed. It yvas stated that bad a fire occurred it would have been impossible for tho fire company to have reached tho blazo for several hours.
