Show HIGH SCHOOL TO KETJT TEAM Tho members of the Ogden High School fontbnll squad and their admirers ad-mirers anticipate another victory m-xt Friday afternoon when the O. H. S. will oppose the freshmen of the Vni-1 versity on the local gridiron. Al- ' though the locals have not opposed the freshmen this season they are confi-, dent that a victory will be the r?-1 suit or next Friday's meeting. Their confidence is well bused in view of tho several decisive victories and only! one defeat this season j The one defeat sustained by tho local lads was at Logan tvi weeks ago. when they went down by a score of IS lo 3. In this game tlio Ogden team, which averages 149 pounds, went against a squad averaging more than ISO pounds. In spite of these odds they would have made a better showing but for decisions which the local boys do not consider entirely on the square. There will be no changes In the lineup of the team that will oppose the University Freshmen next Friday. So far as known at present the lineup will bo as follows: V. Smith center, H Andersen right guard. I. Checketts right tackle, Allen right end. C Smith left guard. C. Sample left tackle, M. Whitmtyer right halt back, M. P.oie full back, Fred Stone left half back and I). Moran quarterbuck The boys are loekinc forward with great joy to the scheduled game with the Salt Lake High on October 2'J and every effort will be made lo prevent pre-vent a postponement or calling off of the game. The Ogden boys feel certain cer-tain that they will be able to defeat the down-state squad and will receive the unqualified support of all high school foothrtll teams in this section in their efforts |
