Show UTAH GUARD WILL 00 TO WYOMING A telegram has just been revived from the division of military affair-1 of the war department by Adjutant General Wedgwood which removes all doubt of there being an encampment for the I'tah militia. The telegram follows: "Referring to representations that the militia of Colorado. Wyoming and Utah have abandoned participating In the maneuvers at the camp of Instruction In-struction on the Tort D. A. Russell reservation, rn account cf alleged lack of water: Latest reports from the camp phow the dally Bupply to be Ij.Of'O gallons from the new resor-vo.r. resor-vo.r. while the auxiliary pump and pipe line recently authorized will double tho supply. Of course tho season Is unusually dry, but If necessary neces-sary a further supply of water can be obtained on the reservation for all the needs of troops to ibe stationed there. All nrrnncemcnts have been made for the militia, and it Is desired that they attend." To this General Wedgwood has re- piled: "Utah will attend the camp unless directed otherwise by proper authority. author-ity. No other intention has been entertained en-tertained or considered " |
