Show HE ROBBED A HOUSE OF$100 A few days ago a certain yoang man, known in police circus as the "Montana Kid." concluded he needed money, and he deliberately stepped into a place of business where they !ecp. sacks of money for dallr use and appropriated one of thorn for his own use. The sack contained $100. Tlie money of the firm was being kept in a case made of heavy wire netting, surrounding a desk where business matters were transacted, j The door had been left open and the "Kl I" walked in. He plcl ed up the money, "turned round and walked right out again." The horse was filled with people and a number of them observed the young roan turn the trick. It was not their place to complain .they said, and the boy had no trouble in getting o.t of the room. There was considerable nolye ln the house at the time, the business transactions trans-actions of the place necessitating this, and lh proprietor of the place Jld not observe what was going on at the business desk. It was learned that he had purchased a first-class ticket out of the city and wos well on his way. The ' Kid" had told some of his friends that he "needed the money" to get out of town n, and he thought It not much of a disgrace fo pick up $100 from its resting place in this particular par-ticular place of business, lie also stated that he had to leave town because be-cause the "cops" had told him to get I The officers state that It Is trne ! that they had told "Montana Kid" that be must leve the city tr they I would be compelled to prefer ft charge of vagrancy against him. The "Kid" is still at large and St Is ! questionable whether he- will b ap-! ap-! prehended.
