Show AN ALLEGED FORGER CAUGHT James Browning, aJly;ed forger, and a man of many aliases, who !i believed to have passed bogus check In every city on the Union Pacific railroad between Omaha and Ogden, was captured luj this cltv this morning morn-ing by Sheriff B. B. Wilson of thU county nnd Sheriff McCourt of Green River. Wyo., the latter having trailed trail-ed the man fo Ogden. Sheriff McCourt arrived In Ogden yesterday and conferred with SherlfT Wilson. It was thought likely fiy the oflleers that Browning had parsed through Oil? city, going to Salt Lak City. No cldcnco of his criminal work was found here and It Is not be- 1 Ileved that he passed any of bis for- j gerles In Ogden. 1 The Green Klvor officer left here yesterday afternoon and searched for his man In Salt Lake City. Falling to find trace vf him there, he returned to this city this morning and accidentally acci-dentally noticed a suspect In a barber bar-ber shop. With the aid of Sheriff ; Wilson this man was kept under sur-veillanee sur-veillanee until it was ascertained that ' ho was Browning, when the arrest was made. Sheriff McCourt will return to Green River with his man this evening. |
