Show SENTENCED TO STATE PRISON The criminal cases of the district court are being disposed of with considerable con-siderable rapidity and it is quite certain, cer-tain, say the court officers, that all cases In which defendants are ready fen' trial will be disposed of this month. Three cases were disposed of this morning and the fourth one will probably prob-ably ho considered before the day Is over. The case against J. B. Hinckley Hinck-ley has been dismissed. The ball lu the case of the State against Clyde Rauchman was forfeited this morning, morn-ing, the bail being in the sum of $S00. A verdict of not guilty was rendered In the Streeter case, and two sentences, sen-tences, ono against Joseph Smith, convicted of grand larceny, the other I against John Klnr conxicted of at-1 tempted grand larceny, were Intllcted. In passing sentenco upon Smith, J who 1 a Pole, the court stated that the minimum sentence would be glv-eu glv-eu because of th age of the convict, he having hardly reached his majority, major-ity, and because the man is a foreigner foreign-er and a strauger lu a strange land, not being familiar with local requirements. require-ments. Smith was sentenced to servo one year in the state penitentiary. He was convicted of stealing $10 from tho person of one Thomas O'Neil. A light sentence was also passed up on King, he being sent to the state penitentiary for a period of IS mouths. J he court stated that a light sentence would be. imposed because tho defendant de-fendant is well along In years and because the court felt that the drluk-of drluk-of whisky had contributed to tho commission com-mission of the offense.
