WAITING FOR SPARKS TO CONFESS It was anticipated that .1. N" Sparks, charged with forge ry, and thought to be Implicated In the hold-up and robbery rob-bery of an Oregon Short Line train rear Five Points, June 27th, would b. ' arraigned this morning, but he was ! r.ot, it being deemed advisable by the ! officers not to bring him Into court until alter he has had a talk with his wife. Mrs Spaiks was expected to be iiere yesterday to confer with her hisband, but, ib,e officers say, sh went to Salt Lake and did not stop in Ogdcn. She will return today, however, and It Is anticipated that she will meet her husband this afternoon after-noon at the city jail. Sparks still refuses to make any disclosures connecting him with the robbery and h? denies that ho had anything to do with It. lie says, though, that after he meets his wife he may talk more freely. It Is expected ex-pected that Mrs. Sparks will throw some light on the situation.
