Show OGDEN PIONEER IS LAID TO REST The funeral of A. Dewey Shurtliff, formerly a public appraiser of Weber (ounty, aged 61, was held at 1 o'clock yesterday afternoon at Ijirkln & Sons' iunoral chapel, Bishop H. C. Jacob3 of the Eighth ward presiding. The music was as follows: "Guide Me to Thee," "Home, Sweet, Home," "Softly and Tenderly Jesus Is Calling," Call-ing," sung by Mrs Mary Farley and Mrs. Mary Jones, and "Some Sweet Day." by Mrs. Mary Farley. The speakers were J. A. Howell, Aicbibald McFarland. Bishop Jacobs and Patriarch George W, Larkin. all of whom spoke highly of the deceased's deceas-ed's faithfulness to public duty, his integrity and loyalty to his many liicnds. Tho services were well attended. There were no flowers by request. The body was shipped to Morgau at S:30 this morning.whcre services were re held at the tabernacle at 1 o'clock. Interment was made at Morgan. |
