Show W. M. ROYLAKGE TALKS OF DAMAGE TO FRUIT CROPS The Hon. XV. M. Roylance of Provo was an Ogden vlBltor Saturday. Regarding the fruit crop in Utah county. Mr. Roylance stated that tn hla opinion What the hortlculturalisl s have lost in quantity, they will gain in quality and an. increase of price on tha early fruits. So that, in the long run, there will not be a very great loss this year to the frail growers in dollars and cents. Mr. Roylance stated that he was quite surprised In the recent growth and commercial advancement nf Ogden Og-den and ho Hpre6sed great pleasure at seeing so successful a raco meet in the city as is now in vogue. The gathering gath-ering at the Fair Grounds yesterday was quite a revelation to him. Ho wondered where all the people came from. He also expressed himself ab well pleased with the splendid fight the Ogden people are putting up against the discrimination made by certain railroad combinations against Ogden and other cities of tho stato outside of Salt Lake, he stating that It would be well lor all cities of the stato outside the capital to lend their efforts toward correcting the evil that exists. "If this were done." he said, "wc would very likely be able to get a cquare deal on freight and passenger traffic' |
