Machine on Way to Salt Lake Meets With Accident Near Pocatello POCATELLO. Ida., June 16. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Burnham and their children, and Mr. and Mrs. Frank ' Bowman narrowly escaped death or serious Injury last night while cn route from Ashton to Salt Lake, when a machine driven by Bowman ran off the state highway near McCammon. At the time of the accident the car was traveling at a rate of speed said not to exceed 35 miles per hour. Bow- man tried to make a sudden turn In the road about a mile north of McCammon, Mc-Cammon, the brakes falling to work, tho car Avent over an embankment and landed bottom side up ten feet below the road. Tho passengers were pinned beneath the machine but were released In a1 short time by autoists coming along I tho road. Bowman received bruises ! about tho shoulders, while one of the Burnham. girls received minor Injuries. The other members of tho party were uninjured. Bolh families reside at Ashton. oo
