The city dog-catchers and deputies who have been carrying on an active campaign against unmuzzled unmuz-zled animals during tho past week, completely put the canines in the background and hied to tho shady nooks where tho trout tako hook, bait and sinker. But today the unmuzzled dogs of the city arc making up for lost time in keeping out of the clutches of tho officers. offi-cers. Several were captured this morning and will be put to death late this aftornoon if their owners do not appear and take them away muzzled. Hundreds of owners of tho city have Installed muzzles and It Is beginning begin-ning to become an uncommon sight to sec an animal without the headgear head-gear Dr. J. M. Elliott, city sanitary J inspector, who la directing tho campaign cam-paign to prevent tho spread of rablos, declared the drive will bo continued without pause until overy animal Is either properly muzzled or captured by his men. oo |
